Hi I’m Juanita

I have been singing and performing since I was seven years old. It was what I always wanted to do.

My dream was to have music in the radio and music videos on TV.

I fell in love and got married when I was 19 years old and soon became a mom. I kept singing and recording music and the day came when my baby girl wanted to do the same thing. I was in my late 20s when an older, more experienced mom advised me that I should probably stop singing in order to fully support my daughter in her dreams.

I respected this older woman and thought that this probably right. Maybe moms were supposed put their dreams off in order to focus on the dreams of their children. This is what good mothering is, isn’t it ?

Then, one night, I had a dream that changed everything.

I dreamt that everytime that I sang in the dream, the sound releasing something important, powerful and unique. When I woke up, I understood that God had given me a voice for a specific purpose.

The voice that was given me was doing a unique thing in the world.

It was releasing a sound that was affecting others in a positive way and I didn’t need to stop just because my child wanted to release her sound also.

This is why God gave me my own voice.

I understood that He wasn’t done using my voice. Soon after that, my music was on the radio, and I have music videos on TV!

During this time, I felt a strong call to homeschool my children. When I said Yes to this call, I knew that I was supposed to do this while I continued to sing. During this time, God had given me more desires, goals, and ambitions. By now, I didn’t look at my kids as a hinderance to pursuing them. I understood that they were to come along and be a part of the journey. So, they saw me writing and publishing my children’s books, planning and launching my own women’s conferences, do public speaking, appear on television shows and so much more.

Soon after this many women began to approach me and ask me how I was able to do all of these things, and I felt strongly in my heart that I would not have known my own capacity if I put limits on myself. I simply said Yes to God and watched my life enlarge in a major way.

I’ve been helping other women and moms do the same thing ever since.

Motherhood is a sacred and high calling—one of the most beautiful roles a woman can carry. Yet, every mom was also born with unique gifts and talents, placed within her long before she had children. These gifts are meant to be multiplied, nurtured, and shared with the world in order to fulfill her greater purpose—the purpose she was created for. And one day, each of us will give account for how we lived out that calling. That’s why I’ve made it my personal mission to ensure that no mom is left behind—tired, burnt out, or unfulfilled. Every mother deserves to walk in the fullness of her calling, not just as a mom, but as the woman God designed her to be.
